But or Rent Anime from Your PS3

At this year’s recent E3 videogame exhibition, Sony announced plans for a new video download service, where users can download movies and TV shows to their PS3.

Among the distributors involved is Funimation, and with them comes a raft of anime titles which can be either rented or bought from Sony’s service. Here’s the list of titles:

•   Afro Samurai
•   Astro Boy (Sony Pictures)
•   Basilisk
•   Burst Angel
•   Desert Punk
•   Gunslinger Girl
•   Kiddy Grade
•   Moon Phase
•   Samurai 7
•   Trinity Blood
•   Xam’d: Lost Memories
•   Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles

The service is currently only available in the US, but it should hit our shores by the end of the year.
