Sailor Moon Musical Actress Dies Age 24
Miyuki Kanbe, star of the Bishojo Senshi Sailor Moon musical and Battle Royale II: Requiem, died of heart failure on June 18 at 4:08 am, aged 24. In 2007, she had to step down from her role in the Les Miserables musical due to poor health.
Kanbe is most well known for her roles in Sailor Moon and Battle Royale II, though she has also starred in multiple television series and movies, and also sang the opening theme for the 2003 anime series Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch.
